I am about to embark on a four month stay in Havana, Cuba for my semester long study abroad option. In fact, I leave in about an hour. I have very little idea what to expect. I am excited, I've wanted to go to Cuba for so long! and very nervous. My goal is to keep those who are interested in my stay here up to date with this blog. I will promise right now the baddest grammar but, unfortunately, I can not guarantee frequent or interesting posts. Hopefully I will have internet with a fast enough speed to upload photographs so I can avoid a lot of this wordiness.

Hey Hillevi, it's your brother. I was recently google earthing Havana and trying to find cool places and neighborhoods. I saw some pics of Old Havana (eastern tip of the peninsula) and thought you might enjoy a weekend venture out that way. It has cool old buildings and a nice looking promenade sort of park. Anyway, it looks pretty far from your hotel, but possibly worth the effort/money. Hope you're having a great time!
ReplyDeletethanks Bro! we've been to Havana Vieja a couple times now. It is gorgeous. Much of the restoration is being done down that way so it is really pretty and well kept. Keep the suggestions coming. I'll try to keep you up to date on what we can cross off the list. The bus to old havana sometimes closes its doors with you half-way out however, you have to be careful!
